Since childhood, I have loved dragons. Although dragons are creatures that do not exist in reality, our extraordinary Chinese ancestors regarded them as totems of our own ethnicity. The image of the Chinese dragon from ancient times to the present contains so much romantic imagination and creativity! To the Chinese, the dragon's significance has long surpassed that of any ordinary animal or beast, symbolizing much that is beautiful: bravery, majesty, vigor, and kindness. This agile and lively dragon is always in search of the Dragon Crystal in its heart. And the crystal, too, is somewhere awaiting the dragon's descent. In the moment of their meeting, they spark a resonance from deep within each other. This moment symbolizes the wonderful state of unity between heaven and man. This is just like using the digital pen on the Xencelabs pen display screen, where my inner creative ideas are fully realized and materialized digitally.
The legend of the Tang Dynasty’s Red Gold Walking Dragon, which has been told and passed down to this day, is where I received my initial inspiration for the shape. The Tang dragon has slender and powerful limbs and an elegantly proportioned body. I strived to reinterpret this ancient image with my own creation. It is not simply a copy of the classical decorative style, nor does it conform to the realistic characteristics of modern Western realism, but rather attempts a fusion of both - overall decorative style with realistic details. I am obsessed with the flowing curves, and I wanted to reflect this omnipresent dynamism even on the body of the dragon and the background of the base. Although the work is stationary, can you hear the constant dragon chants and feel the call from the mysterious dragon crystal yourself?
我从小喜爱龙。龙是完全不存在的生物，但是非凡的中国先民却把它当作我们自己民族的图腾，自古而今的中国龙形象，其中蕴含了多少浪漫的想象力和创造力啊！龙之于中国人的心中，它的意义早已超越了一般动物或者兽类的存在，而象征了太多美好的意义：勇敢，威严，刚猛，以及善良。这条矫健灵动的走龙一直在寻找它心中的龙晶宝石。而宝石也在某处等待真龙的降临。在相遇的一瞬间，它们互相迸发出来自内心的感应和激荡。这是我要表达的刹那，它寓意着天人合一的美妙境界，如同我手持数位笔，在Xencelabs马蒂斯数位屏中，把内心的创意想法在虚拟世界里得以完全释放和具象化。
在流传至今唐代赤金走龙的形象中，我得到了最初的造型启发。唐龙四足修长有力，身段比例优雅婀娜，我力求用自己的所学，去重新诠释这个古老的形象。它并非一味照搬古典装饰风格，也有别于现代西化写实的特点，而是把二者试做融合—即是整体装饰风格而细节真实。我痴迷那些流转的曲线，想在龙的身体甚至基座背景上都体现这种无处不在的动感。作品虽是静止的，但你是否可以听到声声龙吟，和感受到来自神秘龙晶的呼唤？
